Our Mission

We created DriveDirect Gen to solve a frustrating problem that every developer, content creator, and digital professional faces daily: cloud storage preview pages.

When you share a file via Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, the recipient is taken to a preview page instead of getting a direct download. This is inconvenient for embedding files in applications, scripts, documentation, and automated workflows.

DriveDirect Gen eliminates this friction by converting any share link into a clean, direct download URL that starts the file download immediately — no extra clicks, no preview screens, no redirects.

How It Works

Our tool uses well-documented URL patterns for each supported platform to transform share links into direct download links:

• Google Drive: Extracts the file ID from the share URL and constructs a /uc?export=download URL.
• Dropbox: Replaces the domain with dl.dropboxusercontent.com for direct file access.
• GitHub: Converts blob URLs to raw.githubusercontent.com for raw file access.
• OneDrive: Modifies the URL parameters to trigger a direct download instead of the preview.

All of this happens instantly and entirely within your browser. No server calls, no API requests, no data leaves your device.
